Students Explore Taiwan’s Semiconductor Story at the TSMC Museum of Innovation

On May 6, under beautiful weather, students joined an off-campus learning trip led by Dr. Angela Chang to the TSMC Museum of Innovation.
The visit offered students a valuable opportunity to step outside the classroom and explore one of Taiwan’s most important industries in an interactive and engaging way.

During the visit, students learned about the development journey of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and gained a better understanding of how semiconductors are closely connected to modern life.
Through the museum’s exhibitions, students explored the history of chip technology, the semiconductor manufacturing process, and TSMC’s important role in shaping global technological development.
The museum also introduced exciting future-oriented topics such as artificial intelligence, smart cities, autonomous vehicles, and other innovations that are changing the way people live and work.
Many students found the visit both interesting and inspiring, especially as they discovered how Taiwan has become a key player in the global semiconductor industry.

This field trip not only broadened students’ knowledge of technology and industry development but also encouraged them to think about the relationship between innovation, business, and everyday life.
It was a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience.
